Piano
& Violin – Sharika
Toth |
|
|
 |
| |
Since
the ripe and rocking age of four, Sharika Toth
has been shaking her musical finger in both violin
and piano, studying through to 8th Grade (AMEB)
in both instruments, as well as 5th Grade Musicianship
(AMEB), with brief study in jazz piano and vocals,
and is now currently studying music at the University
of Sydney. Sharika is greatly intrigued by the
diversity of music and has enjoyed performance
in various music genres including musical theatre,
classical, jazz, rock and Irish folk, in a range
of different settings including orchestral, band,
choral, and solo. Assuming music as second nature,
with an early misinformed understanding that everyone
had a similar active interaction, she has since
forth realised that this is not the case and fiercely
believes that "everyone who is musically
estranged should find their musical connection
and vent their creativity through this multi-affective
medium which brings together the most dissimilar
of people, generating an intense and vibrant means
of communication and interaction, which may in
fact bring us that one step close to world peace."
Considering this, Sharika encourages musical education,
regardless of apparent musical capacity, age,
gender, whatever, and takes pleasure in introducing
and shaping the musical understanding of others
and developing teaching methods that cater uniquely
to each individual, to help them reach their full
potential by finding their own sense of music. |
